There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms for the late morning and early afternoon. Rainfall rates of 0.50 to 0.75 inch per hour are expected during the periods of heavier precipitation, locally up to one inch per hour possible in the mountains below the snow level and where thunderstorms develop.
