Flood Watch issued March 13 at 1:25AM PDT until March 13 at 6:00PM PDT by NWS San Diego CA * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following areas, Orange County Coastal Areas, Orange County Inland Areas, Riverside County Mountains, San Bernardino County Mountains, San Bernardino and Riverside County Valleys-The Inland Empire, San Diego County Coastal Areas, San Diego County Mountains, San Diego County Valleys and Santa Ana Mountains and Foothills. * WHEN...Through this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A strong Pacific cold front with moisture from an atmospheric river will spread widespread moderate to locally heavy rainfall inland from the coast to the mountains into this morning with showers continuing through the afternoon before decreasing during the evening. There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms for the late morning and early afternoon. Rainfall rates of 0.50 to 0.75 inch per hour are expected during the periods of heavier precipitation, locally up to one inch per hour possible in the mountains below the snow level and where thunderstorms develop.
