For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 5 to 8 feet expected in the surf zone. * WHERE...East Carteret County. * WHEN...From 3 AM Friday to 10 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Up to 2 feet of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways resulting in a low threat of property damage. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes adjacent to the waterfront will experience shallow flooding. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.

Wind Advisory issued November 14 at 1:45AM EST until November 15 at 5:00PM EST by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC * WHAT...North winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected. * WHERE...East Carteret County. * WHEN...From 7 AM to 5 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
